British broadcaster caught once again at the center of a global campaign of deception.

November 20, 2011 – Having been a British colony for 124 years and the perpetual target of attempted recolonization ever since its independence from Britain in 1948, Myanmar, still called by its imperialist label “Burma” by the Western corporate media has gone through extreme lengths to remain a sovereign nation-state. The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and British intelligence have been raising, funding, and arming narco-defacto states throughout Myanmar for decades while US government organizations including the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and its numerous subsidiaries, along with private, corporate-funded foundations have been funding political opposition to Myanmar’s ruling government both inside the nation and abroad for nearly as long.
And while political subversion and CIA-backed narco-armies roam Southeast Asia’s Myanmar, it is the Western-sponsored propaganda reshaping the world’s perception of this nation that is probably the most insidious. The centerpiece of this campaign is the promotion of Western-educated, UN-serving, US-funded Aung San Suu Kyi to “full-saint” of the globalist agenda. She has been granted every accolade contrived by the Wall Street-London “international order” from the Nobel Peace Prize to the 2011 “Chatham House Prize” and even “Skyped” in to the big-oil, big-banker sponsored 2011 “Clinton Global Initiative” confab in New York City.

Notice the disingenuous reference to the Arab Spring in this later part, which is now admitted, even by the New York Times, as a premeditated, US-engineered geopolitical campaign to overrun the Middle East.
Aung San Suu Kyi leads an impressive network of NGO’s, political opposition groups, social activist organizations, and initiatives both inside of Myanmar and abroad, none of which she had anything to do with beyond lending her name and image to. In fact, these organizations are the admitted creation of the US and British governments, the details of which are painstakingly spelled out in the “Burma Campaign UK” 2006 report, “Failing the People of Burma?” (starting on page 15). Far from a critical report of foreign meddling in Myanmar, the report concludes that the millions of dollars and extensive networks created to overthrow the government of Myanmar are insufficient and that more help should be lent. While Suu Kyi is portrayed as a saintly “beacon of freedom” or “Burma’s first lady of freedom” as TIME magazine once called her, she is in fact merely another Wall Street-London creation, a puppet misleading people into the political bear-traps of neo-imperialism.

The capstone completing this immense deception foisted upon humanity at the expense of Myanmar, its 60 million people, and their collective national sovereignty is an upcoming “film” tilted, “The Lady.” Directed by France’s Luc Besson, “The Lady” has already been screened in Toronto and is set for release at the end of this year. Coincidentally, its screening and release coincides with a political shakeup in Myanmar and an abnormally high amount of coverage being aired throughout the mainstream corporate media as of late.
The film comes to us from “Left Bank Pictures,” founded and owned in part by BBC Worldwide. While it is true that this film could just as easily have come from Hollywood with an equally meddling, propaganda nexus driving it, it is particularly ironic that the British are still, after over a century, interfering in Myanmar’s affairs.

While the LA Times claims that director Luc Besson recruited many of the actors “from a refugee camp in Thailand,” it turns out that additionally, the BBC Burmese Service had supplied several of the actors, who had previously done a series of “radio plays” broadcast throughout Myanmar, reports George Soros’ Open Society-funded Mizzima. These include Mon Mon, cast as a close aide of Aung San Suu Kyi, Aung Kyaw, playing an army major, and Daw Myint, another close personal aide of Aung San Suu Kyi.

Promoting this film, besides the West’s corporate-media, are “independent news agencies” like the “Democratic Voice of Burma.” Not only is the “Democratic Voice of Burma” not independent as it claims in it’s website’s header which states it is “an independent Burmese media organisation committed to responsible journalism,” but it is one of the several fake-news agencies founded and perpetually funded by the US government mentioned by name in the 2006 Burma Campaign UK report (page 15).
This isn’t the first time Myanmar has been targeted by the West’s movie industry. 2008’s Rambo IV was set in Myanmar and carried a decidedly political message aimed at the ruling government and its military and has even been used as a propaganda tool by opposition groups including the US-backed youth movement “Generation Wave.” Rambo III before it, was used as a propaganda tool to support Afghanistan’s Mujahedin against the Soviets in the 1980’s. The Mujahedin were even credited at the end of the film as the “gallant people of Afghanistan” only to be later relabeled as barbaric terrorists after September 11, 2001, and subjected to now over 10 years of US and British occupation.
“The Lady” however, goes beyond simply demonizing or lifting up a specific nation and its people, but also promotes a disingenuous portrayal of ideals such as human rights, democracy, and freedom. Surely a US-funded traitor opening up a nation of 60 million to exploitation at the hands of Wall Street and London does not equate in any way to these ideals. And surely reaping persecution for betraying your nation on behalf of a nefarious foreign agenda is not “heroic” by any stretch of the imagination.
“Saint” Aung San Suu Kyi represents a campaign of predatory propaganda preying upon the good will and best intentions of honest people around the world. It has utilized every method and means imaginable to foist this feel-good public “hero” image onto the unsuspecting public to the point where any criticism of Suu Kyi borders on sacrilege. In reality, what is more appalling is ignoring the truth in order to continue riding this feel-good agenda, the benefits of which will be reaped solely by the corporate-fascists propelling it along, and the fallout suffered by the people of Myanmar trapped on both sides of this malicious deception.
